Experienced cuddler loves to cuddle - and he's a man

Dear Harlan:Man, you goofed. I was offended when I read your response to “Cuddler.” I am 38, single and consider myself to be an average man. I am here to say that I have always enjoyed cuddling and always will. Many of us were insulted when you advised women who want more cuddling to avoid having sex with a guy for a long time. Sex has never impacted cuddling for me. I believe a real man knows what true intimacy is and how to experience and share it. We know it lies in a woman’s heart — not…See More

Help Me, Harlan! College-bound students with asperger’s can find support on campus

Dear Harlan:I’m Aspergian and socially lost, and I’m not even in college yet. My friends (who I can count on one hand) are heading in different directions. Thankfully, my home literally is down the street from my college. I think with a completely different operating system than most people, and with perpendicular trains of thought, I’m almost never on the same page. I’ve read about college for some time, but still don’t feel like I’ll be attending. Is it just something I have to get through?…See More

Who accepted you? Who rejected you? Does it matter?

The season is upon us -- high school students are receiving acceptance and/or rejection letters. As the letters arrive, emotions run wild. I'd love to hear from college students who have been there and done it and college bound students who will soon be experiencing it. For current students, share where you applied, who accepted you, who rejected you, and how you made your choices. For college bound high school students, share who accepted you, who didn't and any questions you might have while…See More

Religious student prays that antics will stop in college

Posted on February 23, 2012 at 9:00am 0 Comments

Dear Harlan:

I'm pretty religious and always have been. I'm going to a Christian college, but I'm not dumb enough to seriously think that means it will be a safe, sober and Savior-loving campus all the time. I'm afraid this might lead to issues with a nonreligious roommate. I don't shove my religion on others, but I do have personal beliefs and standards.

I'm not OK with others having sex in front…

Just because sex is available doesn't mean you have to have it

Dear Harlan:

Next year, I will be attending college for the first time. I’ve been in a relationship with this girl for about six months, and she’ll be attending the same school. We’ve been good friends since our freshman year. Before we started dating, she used to date my best friend, but I eventually discovered…

That's me on a great day haha! By the way, what I have read of the book is great! I will be a peer leader/student teacher for freshmen in the fall. I wish I had a book like this when I started.

Actually my daughter works at EStreet Denim in Highland Park and met you and your wife and child about 4 years ago. She is now 23 but started her college career at NYU in jazz performance(flute), transfered to Middlebury and is now graduating in Art History. Like many her age, however, she is continuing her education in LA at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She realized, after traveling for 5 weeks in India with 3 professors that life in academia was not for her. Is your wife in private practice?
