Finding one college out of hundreds can be a daunting task. There are some quizzes you can take to get an idea. Collegeboard has 'College MatchMaker' and Princeton Review has 'Counselor-O-Matic'.
The 'College MatchMaker' asks you questions in these categories
The 'Counselor-O-Matic' asks questions more specific to your grades, test scores, and other activities. The categories are:
'College MatchMaker' vs. 'Counselor-O-Matic'.
I took the Collegeboard quiz about a year ago and got 0 matches, but after broadening my search I got a couple pages. I just took the quiz again last week for my safety schools which helped a lot.I took the Princeton review quiz last week and got 1. It is actually one I am thinking about. I think the problem with Princeton review is that it takes your SAT and ACT scores into consideration. I have not taken them yet, making the search less accurate. I would suggest taking the Collegeboard quiz unless you have taken your SAT and ACT and want to find a 'fit' (check next post for explanation of Princeton review's 'fit')
